How can I find out an inmate's location, Photo ID (PID) number, or bail information?

Special Notes:   The telephone lines for the Office of Community Justice and Outreach are down at this time. Advise callers to contact  215-685-7711 until further notice.

Instructions for the 311 Agent:

   Advise Customer -

  • To locate an inmate in the Philadelphia Prison System, please call any one of the following phone numbers: (215) 685-8394, 685-8395, 685-8396, 685-7957, 685-7958
  • To reach the Office of Community Justice and Outreach at 215-685-7080, 215-685-7075, 215- 685-685-7092 Monday to Friday, 9AM - 6PM.
  • Spanish-speaking persons may call (215) 685-8692. The office is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  To avoid peak calling hours on weekdays, call before 9AM or after 7PM.  
  • An inmate's Photo ID number never changes.  The same PID number is retained throughout an individual's entire criminal career.
